Sea turtles are amazing! They have traveled the oceans since dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Unfortunately today they face countless threats, from poaching to habitat destruction to entanglement in fishing gear. Let's make sure sea turtles have safe places to nest and feed, and are able to migrate freely. Green turtles can grow up to 5' long and can reach 400 pounds. This species is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical waters, but is under threat everywhere from over-harvesting of both eggs and adults, and from accidental mortality in the nets and long-lines of fishing fleets.
